Lord Calvert Yacht Club

Lord Calvert Yacht Club includes sail and power boaters. We are located in the Pax River /  Solomons Island area of the Chesapeake Bay.  We have numerous events on our calendar, both ashore and afloat.  Our cruises include both local raft-ups in near-by anchorages and weekend trips to other marinas or anchorages on the Chesapeake Bay.  When interest arises, we will take off for a week or so to wherever the weather takes us. 

Our Land functions are usually held at the Town Creek Point Marina.  Some of the annual events held at the clubhouse include the Annual Sock Burning, Opening Day and Flag Raising, Independence Day cookout, Octoberfest, and the Christmas Party. Other events held at the clubhouse have included a Jimmy Who? dock party and a Crab Feast.

We are a non-profit volunteer organization that plans and conducts events on the water and on shore for the enjoyment and benefit of its members and guests.

LCYC's New Home

We are currently residing at the Town Creek Point Marina.  This is located at 23703 Bill Dixon Road in California, MD on the Saint Mary's County side of the Thomas Johnson Bridge. (you can see the marina from the bridge as you travel from St. Mary's towards Calvert County if you look over to your right) The marina has all new slips with long rock solid finger piers. There is one 50 Amp and two 30 Amp electrical outlets for each slip as well as fresh water. Electricity is metered for each slip. There is also Cable TV, Phone and High Speed Internet if a slipholder wishes to contract with the local utilities for any of these additional services. LCYC will occupy one half of the second floor of the building that exists on site.
